Description

VAT 01 - ELEGANT & SMOOTH VAT 1 is an exceptionally elegant single malt, suited to every palate. Ever in motion thanks to continuous blending in our Solera VAT 1, this expression uniquely layers sweet and spicy notes for a soft and mellow taste with added depth due to its maturation in bourbon & red wine casks. A balanced and refreshingly smooth Glenfiddich. Colour: Autumn Barley Nose: Beautifully fragrant and floral. Summer blossom notes with hints of creamy vanilla toffee and subtle oakiness. A touch of zesty citrus in the background. Taste: Very soft and mellow with a lovely balance of oak and the trademark Glenfiddich character. Layers of sweetness and spice and with hints of freshly ground black pepper. When founder William Grant boldly set out to create “the best dram in the valley” in 1887, he established the vision and passion that lies at the heart of Glenfiddich today. Over 130 years later, Glenfiddich is still family-run and continues to make exceptional whisky to its founder’s exacting standards. This allows expert Malt Master Brian Kinsman the freedom to create exquisite and innovative single malts from a rare and unrivalled collection of aged stocks.
